Mogeen co-founder Siko van Berkel is known as one of Holland’s finest hairdresser and hair product connoisseurs. Not cut out for school he started cutting hair at age 15 and by the time he turned 19 he’d already assisted on the set at international fashion houses like Castelbajac, Lieve van Gorp and Ann Demeulemeester. In 1999 Siko joined Le Souk where his Taoist approach to hairstyling came to full bloom. For Siko, who will only cut dry hair so he can anticipate to its natural behavior, hair styling is anything but theoretical. It’s a process of the senses; looking, listening, feeling and letting his creations grow organically in his hands. Siko joined top agency House of Orange in 2001 working as session stylist for the best Dutch designers and glossies as well as creating career launching looks for models and celebrities.
