Mogeen - Irene Peeters

- Hair Stylist -

Mogeen’s fashion icon Irene Peeters (28.04.1982) is as a hairstylist very good with rigid hair. “I love raw hair with lots of structure. Curls are my favorite. I’m also very good at that.” As a young girl she wanted to become a fashion designer but decided to choose another creative profession and went to hair school. After working at a leading hair salon in Tilburg for six years it became time for her to come to Amsterdam. Irene wanted to develop as a hairstylist. She followed Hester and Siko’s work in major magazines for a while and became determined to work at Mogeen. Irene now works as their assistant at several fashion shows, including the Jan Taminiau show in Paris. “I can see what makes people more beautiful and I’m proud of the fact that I keep becoming better and better because I put so much into it.”

Inspiration
“I get my inspiration at the workplace. Hester and Siko really inspire me a lot. Also I get a lot from the street and museums or the library. I love to go there and look at old hair books. Movies can inspire me a great deal as well. It can be a film like Memoires of a Geisha or for example When You’re Strange, a documentary about sixties rock band The Doors.
